After 11 years of marriage, the only thing about Valentines day that has ever been about "fucking" is the big fucking mess everything becomes when you try to force a year's worth of romance into one day. Especially when that one day is hardly ever on the weekend. Nothing more romantic that a dinner on a...Monday? Yeah, like getting a sitter is going to happen.

I have always hated this holiday. Just another corporate bullshit way to get people to scramble for greeting cards and stale chocolate. The worst part is this bar that gets set very very high. Diamond companies, LTD Florists, etc. etc. all tell us what a perfect V-Day will be. And we fail when we can't hit the mark.
